The ending of 2020....

Wow what a journey it has been for us. August of 2016 we started our journey with a herd we purchased from a lady in Live Oak, FL. We did not have a CLUE what we were doing! Fast forward to November of 2020 we have learned a ton but still do not know everything and we are learning as we go. We planted ROW (rye, wheat and oats) in all 8 pastures this year. Well our cows love to eat this stuff and ROW does not hold up as well as our regular costal Bermuda grasses/clover etc. by rotating pastures. So now we are putting each herd in a "sacrifice" pasture and will rotate them out of the ROW fields by limiting them only a couple days at a time and then bring them back into the two pastures that are sacrifice pastures. Again we are learning and still not sure what we are doing but this is how you learn.... :)
